IS NOW GOING GLOBAL

The Wednesday Writers joined forces with the Todmorden Writers' Collective during lockdown to host an online open mic experience. It proved immensely successful, drawing fantastic writers and performers from as far away as India, the United States and Israel.

Now that the world is returning from lockdown and we are able to meet face-to-face again, we are returning to our traditional form of open mic. We have a new venue for these events, upstairs in the Golden Lion.

However, we cannot let all the friendships and great poets we have met over the last 18-months fade from our memory. So, while the TWC tries to find funding for a hybrid live + virtual combined open mic, we will alternate between live events and online events on a monthly basis.
